另外这些护照在内的重要文件，在出发之前先做好，这样就能避免自己丢失，或者是有特别的情况需要查资料可查的麻烦。另外在出发时也带着笔和备忘录这些，把重要的号码记录在备忘录上。有的学生可能会觉得大家都有手机，没有必要特意去记，但万一手机丢了，那在需要电话号码的时候就很麻烦了。

准备2：开通国际漫游

既然是要去另外一个国家，那么在出国前先把自己的手机卡开好国际漫游那就很重要了，这样自己在到达美国时就能马上跟家人联系。在过一段时间熟悉了这里的新环境后，可以买一个当地的电话卡。当然为了省钱，学生们在这边若是常常需要跟国内的家人与朋友联系的，天天打国际长途那肯定得很多钱，所以采用视频的通讯办法来跟家人联系就既方便又省钱了。

准备3：衣物的准备

美国这里一般到冬天，除非是西岸等这些地区，其他的地方都会下雪，而且这些地方往往雪下得很大。所以在一开始去的时候准备一些御寒的衣物，还有雪靴和厚袜这些，以防止自己还没有来得及在这里置办厚衣物。当然在西南地区里读的就不需要带这些衣物了，而且这里的室内在冬天一般也有暖气，太厚的衣服不一定能用得上。

准备4：要有安全意识

美国这里的环境在安全方面其实总体上还是可以放心的，但这并不是就绝对安全的。学生们在这里还是要时时刻刻都要有安全以及自我保护这样的意识，这个才是最必须记住的。
